Konya Investment Climate Was Promoted in Brussels

Within the framework of the program held by EURADA (European Association of Development Agencies), our Investment Support Office was invited to Brussels, Belgium in order to promote our MEVINO Project supported by Horizon 2020. During the visit, our delegation had also several official visits.

In the first step of the visit, our Investment Support Office Coordinator and Expert Arif Köseoğlu paid a visit to EUBA (European Business Association) Belgium members. At the meeting led by EUBA Chairman Yılmaz Yüksel, our delegation promoted Konya investment climate and Investment Incentive System in Turkey.

Our delegation participated in "Brokerage Event For Innovation Agencies" in the second step of the visit. Our Agency's Expert Mr. Arif Köseoğlu shared the results of our MEVINO Project backed by Horizon 2020. His presentation was chosen the best presentation by the participants.

In the third step of the visit, we paid a visit to our Chief Commercial Counsellor Mr. Bülent Uğur Ecevit. We discussed possible cooperations and Konya economy. We also visited our Labor and Social Security Counsellor Naim Gürhan Keskin and Fatih Er at Permanent Representation of Turkey to EU.

Following these visits, we visited the TuR&Bo (Turkish Research and Business Organisations) Office in Brussels founded as a part of Lisbon Strategy of EU in order to increase Turkey's success in terms of science, technology and private sector programs. We discussed EU funds and related issues with Europe Consultant Magdelana Pacholska and Oya Ersöz.

Our delegation later visited TÜSİAD EU-Brussels Representation. They came together with TÜSİAD EU Representative A. Dilek Aydın and Assistant İştar Ateş. During the meeting, our delegation shared indormation on Konya economy and our Investment Support Office.

In the last step of the visit, our Investment Support Office Delegation met with MÜSİAD Belgium members. MÜSİAD Belgium Chairman Hayri Apaydın led the meeting and our delegation gave information on Konya investment climate and Turkey's Investment Incentive System. They also exchanged views on potential cooperations.
