Problem Analysis Workshop For Konya OIZ's Was Completed

Konya ISO organised the "Konya OIZ Problem Analysis Workshop". Organised in Konya OIZ Meeting Hall, the program was attended by 6 of the 9 OIZs in Konya as well as Çumra Chamber of Commerce and Konya Provincial Directorate of Science, Industry and Technology .

The program starting with Konya Investment Environment promotional clip followed by the presentation of Konya OIZ Director Vahit TÜRKYILMAZ. Konya Provincial Director of Science, Industry and Technology Uğur ÖZALIR and Konya ISO Coordinator İsmail ÜNVER also adressed participants. In his speech, Ünver stressed on the importance of Konya industry for Turkish economy. "Two main issues sparked this organisation; one being the chance to meet MEVKA with Konya OIZs and the assessing the problems of OIZs with the people who actually encounter the problems." he said. He added MEVKA wants to work closer and cooperate with OIZs in the coming period.

Problem analysis part consisted of two parts. First the participants identified the problems and then voted on them to see which problems are more prominent. Infrastructure deficiencies and lack of suppor mechanisim targeting district level OIZs are two issues seeming more important than others.

In the second part, participants identified the causes and consequences of the issues and then proposed solutions and actions for dealing with these issues.

During the last part of the programme, participants decided to draft a preliminary report, organise "problem analysis" workshops with all the OIZs and their investors in Konya and get additional comments and then prepare a final reprot and share it with relevant institutions.
